Meols Hall Wedding Photographer

Alex and James – Meols Hall Wedding Photographer

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of being Alex and James’ Meols Hall Wedding Photographer. I always love going to places like this on sunny days. But this wedding was brilliant. Having already shot their engagement portraits I knew I’d get on really well with them. They sent me some feedback which made my day.

This is what they said…

Thank you Steve for providing us with such an amazing collection of images. Finding, and booking you, was one of the best decisions we made. With some wedding industry folk we met on our planning mission, they seemed to be going through the motions, but we really felt that you cared about us and our wedding – and we loved having you there to document it for us. You were the perfect mixture of friendly and professional on the day, and managed to blend into the background to take beautiful and natural journalistic shots of everyone, yet also know how to set up an inspiring ‘staged’ shot without resorting to megaphone tactics. I think the biggest compliment we can pay you about your services on the day, was it was like having a good (albeit extremely talent with a camera) friend with us. The biggest compliment we can pay you about our resulting images is they are perfection. You exceeded our unrealistically high standards. I didn’t cry during the wedding, but welled up looking at the moments you captured. xx

And this is what they said about their wedding…

From the start we had a very clear idea what sort of wedding we wanted – fun, informal, and a bit silly – so like us, really. My love of vintage and our combined styles meant our wedding theme evolved into a loose ’50’s British summer afternoon tea party’ vibe. After searching for a little while and visiting a few venues across the north west, we fell in love with Meols Hall Tithe Barn, in my home town of Southport, even though it was at the top of our budget the venue was very well run, and just what we had in mind. We always planned to roll up our sleeves, from the ‘save the date’ postcards, invitations and orders of service, which I designed, through to the homemade decorations, we really got stuck into a bit of wedding DIY!
